                                Queen Hatshepsuts

When Hatshepsut's father died, she was to help her younger brother rule until he was old enough to become the pharoh.  She ruled Egypt for 20 years.  The temple where Queen Hatshepsut is buried is in the desert cliffs of western Thebes.  It was designed by her advisor Senmut. Vines and trees were brought from distant lands to be planted on the terraces of her burial grounds.
